Hi I'm Catherine,

I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) with a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California. In addition to my Masters degree I have a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from California State University of Northridge.

Throughout my career, I have developed a deep passion for helping individuals. While growing up in a very traditional Filipino household, mental health was never really talked about. With extensive experience working in diverse settings, including community mental health agencies, schools, and outpatient clinics. I believe I can spread the knowledge I've learned and am still learning to break the cycles and stigma around mental health. 

In therapy, I utilize a combination of Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),  and a Humanistic Approach to foster a supportive and collaborative environment. I am particularly dedicated to supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, and anger management by guiding them through the healing process by creating a safe, empathetic space to explore, normalize, and process their feelings. Whether working with a child experiencing the effects of past trauma or an adult dealing with anxiety and depression, I will tailor each treatment plan to meet the unique needs and goals for you and meet you where you are at. I am here to support you with life's unexpected turns and empower yourself and your story. 

During my free time, I like going on nature adventures, spending time with my Corgi named Krum, like bread crumb or Victor Krum (I love Harry Potter). I also love trying new foods, especially new coffee shops.
