PREYANKA GULATI, AMFT
THERAPIST | AMFT #140579
Hi! I’m Preyanka.
It would be an honor to support you along your healing journey. I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to supporting clients with cultivating more clarity, joy, self-compassion, and relationship fulfillment in their lives. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Ethnic Studies and Gender and Women’s Studies from UC Berkeley. I received a M.A. in Counseling Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute where I focused on studying Depth Psychology. I have a background in dance, art, and the facilitation of community healing spaces.
I offer you a trauma-informed, empathetic, and nurturing space to explore insights, feelings, and the layers of your experiences while honoring your process, pace, and goals. I am passionate about collaboratively working with clients to support them with identifying and exploring the roots of their patterns, themes in their inner dialogue, and with connecting to their inner wisdom.
I work with clients who are navigating a variety of experiences including depression, grief, anxiety, PTSD, self-doubt, academic struggles, creative blocks, shame, postpartum depression, the impact of intergenerational trauma, codependency, and relationship difficulties.
I support individuals with processes such as reflecting on their attachment wounds and navigating the impact of them, exploring inner child healing, building confidence, and nurturing their communication skills. I also specialize in supporting students, couples and individuals navigating non-monogamy or monogamy, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and individuals experiencing family conflict.
My approach is dynamic, insight-oriented, collaborative, culturally-attuned, and empowering. I integrate different therapy modalities based on what aligns best for you. I often integrate depth psychology, psychodynamic and psychoanalytic therapy, CBT, attachment theory, and multicultural counseling. I work with teens, adults, and couples. Along with talk therapy, I can incorporate other techniques into our therapy work together including meditation, visualization, and breathwork.
