JINGBO WANG, AMFT
THERAPIST | AMFT #134925
Hi! I'm Jingbo.
Many are on a journey to find themselves, and this journey can be difficult and arduous. Especially when growing up in homes without feelings of safety and security. Many children have never received the message that they are true miracles. I am here to help you restore your inner peace, face your challenges, accept who you truly are, and to help heal internal wounds. If you are on this journey, you are not alone. You do not have to forget about your past, but together, I would like to help you heal from your past and move forward. I am here to understand the struggles you have gone through, the pain from open wounds, and the trauma you may have endured. I am also here to help you listen to your inner voice, embrace your inner child, love that child, and let that child grow and mature. This process is called self-care and mindfulness. It might sound like a big mountain to climb, but I am here to help you take the steps toward healing. As a strength-based and attachment-trained developmental psychotherapist, I want to support your transformation. I am also here for couples and families who struggle with relational issues.
Born and raised in Beijing, China, I speak fluent Mandarin Chinese and English. I am a first-generation immigrant, understand first-generation immigrants' challenges, and embrace diversity.
I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma, anger management issues, addiction, substance abuse, domestic violence (DV), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), bipolar disorder I and II (BP), eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders (OCD), attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), sexual abuse, children and infant mental health issues, and family and couples therapy. I also work with infertility treatment-related stress, depression, and anxiety. Additionally, I have many years of experience working with children with special needs. My client focus is on all ages, including children, adolescents, teens, adults, seniors, families, and couples. I believe in a holistic and strength-based approach using evidence-based practices.
My educational background includes a Master's degree in marriage and family therapy (LMFT) from California State University, Northridge (CSUN). I also have a Master's degree in early childhood education from CSUN and a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley.
Aside from being a psychotherapist, I love spending time with my dog and friends, traveling, trying new food, cooking, hiking, camping, exploring nature, enjoying poetry, reading, swimming, and working with wildlife in my spare time.
我出生于中国北京,是第一代移民,我非常理解东西文化的差异和移民面对的种种困难,我希望为您或者您的家人提供全中文或者英文的心理咨询服务。
