Hi I'm Sheila

Discovering the ideal therapist can be a challenging journey, akin to navigating any significant relationship. It often involves a series of trials and a considerable amount of time to find that perfect 'fit.' At times, the specific qualities you're seeking are immediately apparent, while on other occasions, it's the subtle nuances that are more elusive.

What many individuals may not realize is that the choice of therapy itself can significantly impact the success of one's treatment. My therapeutic approach focuses on ensuring that the framework or treatment resonates deeply with each client. I've embraced an integrative style of therapy, carefully blending various therapeutic modalities to create a customized and tailored experience. This eclectic approach is designed to maximize the effectiveness of the therapeutic journey, acknowledging that every individual is unique, and their path to healing or self-discovery should reflect that uniqueness.

Drawing upon both my lived and professional experiences, I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations in community health settings. This includes individuals such as trauma survivors, the unhoused, and those navigating acculturation difficulties. Through these experiences, I have developed a deeply empathetic, honest, and authentic approach to my practice. I also enjoy working with artists who express themselves through various media, as I appreciate the unique challenges they may encounter. Recognizing the distinctive circumstances you may face, I am committed to providing a supportive and validating space that honors your experiences and fosters growth and resilience.

As a Los Angeles native with a background in the interdisciplinary arts, I bring a distinct perspective to my work. I hold a master’s degree in clinical psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling. Proficient in addressing a spectrum of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and stress-related disorders, I am dedicated to collaborating on various therapeutic modalities tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual, adolescent, couple, or family seeking support.
